Dr. Guttenberg was elected into office of the Vice Presidency. Prior to the new posting, Dr. Guttenberg held the position of Secretary to the DCDS Board of Directors for the previous 3 years. It is with great appreciation that Dr. Guttenberg assumes this responsibility Thank you to all that voted, and that continue to support our dental community in Washington, DC.
HAPPY FLAG DAY, AMERICA!!
We have the most amazing patients!! Thank you for your kind words!! – Steven A. Guttenberg, DDS, MD
I came across this article from a few years back. I think it’s a good read to dispel the misbelief behind epinephrine. It’s as relevant today as it was then. Please take a moment to read. It’s definitely a good link for patient education!
Please join us for a capsule clinic in which Dr. Guttenberg highlights the importance of obtaining imperative medical records.
When: Saturday, May 6, 2017
Time: 3:15 pm – 5:15 pm
Speaker: Steven Guttenberg, DDS, MD
The population in the United States continues to grow and Americans are living longer. Diets, working conditions and the medical treatment of previously fatal conditions continue to improve. From a practical point of view, this means that patients who seek our dental care are often older, taking more medications and inherently sicker than those seen by us even a decade ago. All dental practitioners and their staffs must maintain a high vigil that potentially fatal medical events may occur in their offices at any time, whether their patient is young or old.
In this presentation, which is aimed at both dental practitioners and auxiliaries, Dr. Guttenberg will highlight the most common medical problems that you may see in your office and how to prevent, identify and treat common, as well as less frequently occurring, but significant, untoward medical emergencies which one may encounter during routine dental appointments.
- Increased medical knowledge
- Treat patients more confidently
- Be able to better communicate with a patient’s physician
- Better understand the medical-dental interrelationship
